Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop Y’all…
Sometimes homesteading just ain’t easy. Last week I sliced a huge part of the side of my right pinky finger…and I’m right handed. I needed stitches but it happened so late at night that I couldn’t get to a doctor. We used essential oils, hydrogen peroxide, coconut oil soaked paper towels, and duct tape on it for the first two days. After that we switched to essential oils and band aids. It is starting to heal nicely- if I do say so myself. The only problems I ran into was washing dishes, typing, cleaning, doing laundry, farm chores, etc. Pretty much my entire life. The new homestead doesn’t have a dishwasher so I was doing dishes with one hand- and not my dominate one. It is finally getting better to where I can type for a short amount of time without using my pinky finger.
I am slowly doing things around the house again- in true homesteader fashion! It’s hard for someone like me to do nothing!
Now on to the hop…
Homestead Blog Hop will take place every Wednesday and is for all things homesteading: real food recipes, farm animals, crafts, DIY, how-to’s, gardening, anything from-scratch, natural home/health, self-sufficiency, self-reliance, natural remedies, essential oils, & more!
