DIY Bathroom Cleaner {Two Ingredients}

Two Ingredient Bathroom Cleaner | The Easy Homestead

Okay…okay. Maybe the title is a little misleading. There are actually 3 ingredients in this bathroom cleaner. But, for cool title purposes, I didn’t count water as an ingredient {even though it is}.  So, I guess I lied to you-and I’m sorry for that {kinda}. I figured we all have water, sooooo….

I have tried so many homemade/diy/mix-your-own bathroom cleaner concoctions over the last couple years, that I can’t even begin to tell you how many. But, I couldn’t stop until I found the perfect one- I can thank my OCD for that. Or I should say… you should thank my OCD for that ;).

Why? Because this is the most awesomest-get-your-bathroom-so-amazingly-clean {even after the man showers} -best-bathroom-cleaner-EVER. Yep… it truly is- and deserves that really awesome, made-up word in it, title.

This recipe is super easy, and if you make my DIY laundry detergent, then you already have the ingredients on hand. BAM!

Lets get down to it folks…the recipe that is.

Things You Will Need:

  • 1 Tablespoon Oxygen Cleaner {Sun, Oxi-Free, or Oxi-Baby}
  • 1.5 Teaspoons Washing Soda
  • Water (warm)
  • Spray Bottle {mine is 32 ounces}
  1. Pour the oxygen cleaner and washing soda into the spray bottle (I use a kitchen funnel-don’t have one? Make one with a sheet of paper).
  2. Add warm water to fill line (my bottle is 32 ounces).
  3. Spray on bathroom surfaces (shower, tub, sink, toilet bowl). Let sit 5 minutes. Wipe clean.

Note: I use the sinks, showers, tubs, and inside toilet bowls. I use my all-purpose cleaner for mirrors, toilet seat, and counters.

Happy Cleaning!

P.S. Don’t forget to say hello to yourself. You WILL see your reflection in your toilet, sinks, showers, and tubs. This cleaner seriously gets them THAT white and shiny!

    Very nice!! I live with two guys and ugh the bathroom is the WORST! I hated using the chemical crap because I could feel the years leaving my body as I breathed all that in! Definitely going to give this a try!

    Hello! Do you know if this will cut through the crapola left over from hard water?
